Broadway nodal mapping

Many people understand Broadway as having a great history linked back to the initial creation of New York City. Broadway's relationship with the urban context is vital to the circulation of New Yorkers during their daily transit. From Central Park, there are several nodal interventions similar to Ascension Park. These are Madison Square Park, Union Square Park, and Columbus Circle. Ascension Parks site is located what is now Greeley Square Greeley has been neglected despite that it sits directly on top of one of the most critical and busy circulation nodes within Manhattan.
The Ascension Park proposal stretches three blocks south of Greeley and aims to help relieve pedestrian and vehicle traffic congestion as well as provide a lush elevated green space to elevate New Yorkers off of the streets and into the urban landscape.
This site is about elevated place. A place where occupants can feel relaxed, and better able to navigate the city.
