Requested to develop a proposal for a new facade that will replace the Seagram Building facade. The colors are very playful yet serve a highly functional purpose.
Specific colors have a natural capability of conducting heat at different rates. We have placed the recycled plastic architectural components according to the building's solar radiation study. Areas that require more heating are blue. Blue conducts heat more easily than any other color (other than violet and black). Red is placed in areas where heating is less necessary.
